Creating an outdoor!

Eventually in 2016 we moved our attentions outside and started thinking about how the outside of THE STABLE should look. 

The small walls were broken down, concrete slabs lifted, soil tilled, weeds pulled out..... deep breath.... compost made, manure carted in, plants bought, plants grown... you get the idea. :-) Being a rural town, our neighbours also played a big part and gave not only advice, but clippings and seedlings to cultivate and add to our garden making it a little piece of their own. The ancient vines also had a facelift with a new railing that moved them higher and made a canopy for guests to relax under during summer months. Finally the irrigation systems were added, outside shower rigged up and lawn brought and laid. We were getting closer to the final product....
